Customizing the circle


To customize the circle, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Modify the colors & values in the fields “Fill color”“Fill opacity”“Stroke color”, “Stroke opacity” and “Stroke weight”.

Resize the circle to refine the search results


To allow users to resize the circle in order to get more or less results, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Select the option “Yes” in the field “Resize the circle”.

Draw a circle around the search area


To draw a circle around the search area, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Select the option “Yes” in the field “Circle option”.

Change the search form warning messages


Different messages can be displayed while using the search form. If you need to change them, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. To change the message displayed when the search form doesn’t find any location nearby the user address, modify the text in the field “No locations message”.
  5. To change the message displayed when a user provides a bad address (that the map can’t find), modify the text in the field “Bad address message”.
    1. To change the first suggestion that indicates how to prevent providing a bad address, modify the text in the field “”Bad address” first suggestion”.
    2. To change the second suggestion, modify the text in the field “”Bad address” Second suggestion”.
    3. To change the third suggestion, modify the text in the field “”Bad address” Third suggestion”.

Change the default titles in the search form


To change the titles used in the search form, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. To change the text displayed in the address field, modify the text in the field “Address field placeholder”.
  5. To change the text displayed as a label of the distance slider, modify the text in the field “Slider label”.
  6. To change the text displayed in the search button, modify the text in the field “Submit button text”.

Set the distance unit (Km/Miles)


To set the unit to use to calculate the distance, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Select a distance unit in the field “Distance unit”.

Set the Min. & Max. distance of search


To set the minimum and maximum distance of search a user can select to search for locations nearby their address, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Specify the minimum distance in the field “Min distances of search”.
  5. Specify the maximum distance in the field “Max distances of search”.

Display a search form on the map to find locations within a specific distance of an address


To display a search form on the map that allows to find locations within a specific distance of an address, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Search form settings”.
  4. Select the option “Yes” in the field “Search form option”.
  5. Choose whether to automatically open the search form once the map is fully loaded or not by selecting an option in the field “Search form display status”.
  6. In the field “Min distances of search”, specify the minimum distance of search a user can select to search for locations nearby their address.
  7. In the field “Max distances of search”, specify the maximum distance of search a user can select to search for locations nearby their address.
  8. In the field “Distance unit”, select the unit to use to calculate the distance.
  9. To draw a circle around the user address, within the distance of search they’ve selected, select the option “Yes” in the field “Circle option”.
  10. To allow users to resize the circle in order to get more or less results, select the option “Yes” in the field “Resize the circle”.
