Show or hide the search filter on page load

To show or hide the search filter on page load, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Show” in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
  5. Click on the menu “Search filter settings”.
  6. Select an option in the field “Search Filter display option”. The option “Show on page load” will show the filter on page load and the option “Hide on page load” will hide the filter. To open the filter, a user must click on the button “Refine search”.

Sort the list items by custom fields values

To sort the items in the list by custom fields values, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Yes” in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
  5. Click on the menu “Sort options settings”.
  6. Select the option “Enable” in the field “Turn On/Off the sort option”.
  7. Scroll down to the section “Custom Sort Options”.
  8. Click on the group field “Custom field 1”.
  9. Enter the key/name of the custom field in the field “Custom field name”.
  10. Select the custom field type in the select list “Custom field type”.
  11. In the field “Label”, enter the custom field title/label to display later in the sort options.
  12. Check the options to sort by in the field “Sort order”.
  13. Select the option “Show” in the field “Visibility”.
  14. To add a new custom field, click on the button “Add new custom field”.

Sort the list items by IDs, date and/or title

To sort the items in the list by IDs, date and/or title, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Yes” in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
  5. Click on the menu “Sort options settings”.
  6. Select the option “Enable” in the field “Turn On/Off the sort option”.
  7. Select all the available options in the dropdown list “Default Sort Options”.

Add the posts count to the options bar

To show the number of posts/locations available on the list, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & Filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Show” in the field “Posts count visibility”.
  5. In the field “Posts count label”, modify the text that identifies your posts/locations. For example, if you’re displaying “fishing spots” in your map, change the text “[posts_count] Result(s)” to “[posts_count] Fishing spot”.

Set the number of items to display in a single row for the “Grid view”

To set the number of the items to display in a single row for the “Grid view”, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & Filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Grid” in the field “Initial view”.
  5. Select an option in the field “Grid column”. The option “One column” will display one item per row. The option “The option “The option “he option “

Set the initial view (List view or Grid view)

To the initial view of the list (“Grid view” or “List view”), do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & Filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Show” in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
  5. Select the option “Show” in the field “View Options Visibility”.
  6. Select an option in the field “Initial view”.

Add the view options to the options bar

To add the button that allows changing/switching the list view from “grid” to “list” or vice versa, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & Filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select the option “Show” in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
  5. Select the option “Show” in the field “View Options Visibility”.

Show/Hide the options bar

The options bar is the top bar that contains the button to change the list view (grid view & list view), the dropdown list with the sort options, the number of items on the list and the button to show/hide the filter. To show or hide the options bar, do the following:

  1. Edit a map
  2. Open the widget “List & Filter Settings”.
  3. Click on the menu “Options bar settings”.
  4. Select and option in the field “Options Bar Visibility”.
